Residential Workflow
There are complex considerations associated with creating exceptional architecture and interiors. We work iteratively with all residential clients from inception to completion. This process starts by assisting the client to define their brief, before providing sketches, models and mood boards to illustrate how this would be applied to the property. We then develop the technical design, working with the wider professional team to oversee the project through the construction stage to completion.
Our experience working on a range of projects, from historic and listed buildings in sensitive areas, and with complex technical challenges, allows us to anticipate issues and resolve them before they become problems.
We are happy to make recommendations for other consultants as part of the wider professional team and, if preferred, to employ them under our own appointment as lead consultant. This simplifies the management of the project from the client’s perspective and allows for a more efficient delivery.
In addition, we have a trusted supply chain of contractors and subcontractors that we can recommend. We leverage our experience working within the retail sector and our relationship with shopfit contractors to both deliver projects in shorter timescales and to an exceptional standard.
All projects within our studio are managed by an associate and overseen by a director, ensuring full quality assurance from inception through to completion.
Interior Designer vs Architect
We are sometimes asked by residential clients whether, as an architectural studio, we offer interior design services. We do not distinguish between the two disciplines.
Our team of registered Architects work on both the architecture and interior design for the residential projects we undertake, and it is our preference to provide both services as we feel this ensures a fully integrated design approach. We also recognise residential clients may wish to appoint a particular interior designer or decorator and, where this is the case, we tailor our approach to ensure a fully coordinated service is delivered.
