Our exceptional team at Johnson Pinney Architects are internationally trained, with specialities in all aspects of architectural design. Our architectural team is headed by Nick Johnson and Mark Pinney, supported by associates from a wide range of backgrounds. Having such a diverse team of people brings a wide spectrum of skills, expertise and knowledge, and adds strength to our international capabilities, with most European languages covered by our team members.

Nick Johnson
Director
Since joining the studio in 2016, Nick has worked closely alongside Mark, overseeing the delivery of projects and progressively taking ownership of the management of the studio. The rebrand to Johnson Pinney is reflective of the change in ownership of the studio, with Mark stepping back into a consultancy role.

Juan Alonso Laza
Associate Director
Since joining us in 2017, Juan has managed the delivery of a range of large and complex projects across the retail, residential and commercial sectors. He has also introduced a number of sophisticated tools that facilitate information sharing and improve project workflow for the wider professional team.

Mark Pinney
Founder
Mark’s 40 years in practice have given him an incredibly deep understanding of the luxury retail, residential and hospitality sectors. Having founded the company in 1995, Mark is now passing the studio on to Nick and the next generation, but he continues to lend his experience and expertise to projects as a consultant.

Maria Torrecillas Peralta
Senior Associate
Having completed her Masters in Spain, Maria has been working as a fully qualified architect in the UK for the past 8 years. Since joining us, she has been responsible for the design and coordination of numerous complex high-end residential and retail projects across the UK and Europe, including Tiffany & Co. and Burberry.

Begoña Prieto Galeano
Senior Associate
After graduating with honours in Architecture in Sevilla, Spain, Begoña joined our studio in 2017. She has since worked on and managed the delivery of many projects in the luxury residential and retail sectors, including Alexander McQueen and Burberry flagship stores in London and Paris.

Holly Hudson
Studio Manager
Holly runs and manages our studio, working closely with the senior team to co-ordinate the many moving parts of the practice – from control over the finances, to human resources and IT. Holly and her administrative team are instrumental in future planning as well as the day to day running of the business.
