Burberry, Bond Street, London

Burberry appointed the studio to collaborate with Vincenzo De Cotis in the development and implementation of their new retail concept across multiple locations in Europe. After four years, this collaboration culminated in the refurbishment of Burberry’s flagship store in Bond Street, London. The minimalist concept echoes the brand’s iconic themes – through geometric motifs, mirror finishes, wall panels, checkered tiles and ceiling grids – and demanded the highest level of quality and precision in the execution of the interior fit out.

In addition to the interior works, the project required extensive and challenging structural alterations to upgrade the building fabric. This included the removal of columns, the repositioning of slabs and the replacement of the façade in order to meet the client brief and create architectural spaces appropriate for a luxury retail environment.
