Shoreditch, London, England
This rooftop addition, which creates apartments over the original industrial warehouse building in London's fashionable Shoreditch, is conceived as a contemporary extension which 'floats' over the original. Within this new area two duplex penthouse apartments and two single bedroom apartments have been created, with large roof terraces to the larger units providing spectacular views over the city. The exterior street frontage at roof level is completely glazed and clad in light silver anodised panels to reflect light down into the courtyard below, to which it is linked by a new lift tower, at the rear.

Chelsea, London, England
A private residence in Chelsea was refurbished and reconfigured to create a spacious family home. The many existing period features were restored, or replaced where missing or damaged, as a backdrop for sensitively inserted contemporary additions required for modern living. A new spa area, with top lighting provided by a walkover skylight, was created below a newly constructed terrace to the rear, over what was originally a dark basement area.

Blackheath, London, England
A 1970's speculatively built detached house in a quiet lane close to Blackheath in SE London, was completely reconfigured and transformed to create a spacious contemporary home. Limited daylight in the original house caused by large trees surrounding the property was remedied by the introduction of a large roof light over a centrally located stair. This, coupled with an entirely glazed rear elevation to a private courtyard, allows the ground floor to be flooded with natural light. Doors to the courtyard, which is floored in the same porcelain tiles as the interior, are designed to slide into the adjoining room creating a full width opening that seamlessly links the courtyard with the interior, producing a true indoor-outdoor living space.
